These new programs provide new training, revenue, marketing, and support opportunities to ISV and developer organizations that build add-ons to Sage ERP X3 to extend its functionality for various industry segments.

Highlights of the new programs include:

• Comprehensive developer training: The Sage Certified Development Professional program creates and supports an ecosystem of certified developer individuals trained in best practice integration methodologies to Sage ERP X3.
• Sage-tested solution certification: Solution providers can apply to certify their solution against Sage-tested certification criteria to increase customers’ confidence using those solutions.
• Certified solution ecosystem: Business partners and end users will see an expanding ecosystem of certified third-party solutions for Sage ERP X3 that add functionality in the mid-market ERP space.

Sage Certified Development Professional program for Sage ERP X3

The Sage Certified Development Professional program for Sage ERP X3 enables individuals to become recognized by Sage as certified professionals by completing Sage University’s developer training curriculum for Sage ERP X3.

This is an annual fee-based membership where individuals receive instructor-led live training, developer course material, and ongoing incremental product training as new versions and functionality of Sage ERP X3 are introduced.

Sage Certified Solution program for Sage ERP X3

The Sage Certified Solution program for Sage ERP X3 enables solution providers who have developed and integrated add-on solutions to Sage ERP X3 to submit their solution for certification testing. Certification testing validates best practice integration methodologies, version compliance, appropriate use of activity codes, intended functionality, installation/uninstallation, data integrity, and more. Third party solutions that successfully pass certification testing get added to the Sage price sheet and marketed and sold through the Sage sales channel. ISVs receive a percentage revenue share from the sale of their certified solution through Sage. Certification testing elevates customers’ awareness and confidence using third party add-on solutions.

The Sage Certified Solution program for Sage ERP X3 is an annual fee-based program that includes certification testing, Sage event invitations, and placement on the Sage price sheet. Business partners and customers may buy certified solutions only through Sage.

Organizations that wish to apply for the Sage Certified Solution program for Sage ERP X3 must first join and complete the Sage Certified Development Professional program for at least one individual in their organization. Sage will provide Sage ERP X3 software and keys when a solution provider purchases a Developer Care Plan and his or her developer has completed and passed the Sage Certified Development Professional program for Sage ERP X3.

Sage Developer Care Plan for Sage ERP X3

Solution providers must purchase a Sage Developer Care Plan for Sage ERP X3 in order to access Sage ERP X3 software and keys. The Developer Care Plan provides tools and support to build integrations to Sage ERP X3 either though the SAFE X3 4GL environment or Sage ERP X3 web services. The Sage Developer Care Plan is an annual plan that must be purchased each year to build and maintain your integration to Sage ERP X3.

The cost of a Sage Developer Care Plan for Sage ERP X3 is $5,000 per year. The plan includes Sage ERP X3 software and keys, and 20 developer support cases annually. Solution providers receive Sage ERP X3 software and keys once his or her Sage Certified Development Professional has successfully completed and passed the Sage ERP X3 developer training curriculum.

Sage ISV license and support agreement and Sage certified solution distribution agreement

Solution providers must sign the Sage ISV license and support agreement when they purchase the Sage ERP X3 Developer Care Plan to obtain rights to use the Sage ERP X3 software.

Solution providers must sign the Sage Certified Solution distribution agreement to participate in the Sage Certified Solution program. Solution providers receive unique Sage ERP X3 activity codes when they sign the agreement. The agreement also enables Sage to resell the provider’s certified solution to channel partners and customers.
