Sage ERP X3 has evolved beyond the traditional ERP that customers used to know.
- It helps them run their company faster by controlling all core business processes end to end, with minimal IT.
- It is simpler than the typical ERP solutions in the enterprise space—collaborative and easily accessible on web and mobile devices to give our customers the freedom to work where they need.
- It is more flexible and adaptable to customers’ changing needs—now available as a service in the cloud or deployed on customers’ infrastructure.
Today, the perception of ERP is viewed by customers as costly, too complex, and too difficult to use. It does not reflect the evolution of our solution’s capabilities and technology. For these reasons, and to align with our global portfolio positioning, on July 27, 2015, Sage will officially change the product name to Sage X3.
What should you do between now and July 27?
Due to the amount of product documentation available, we fully expect both old and new names to coexist in the market over a period of time. To help accelerate the adoption of the new name, your involvement in communicating the change is critical during the transition.
The name change applies to:
- All material used to represent the solution in the market.
- The customer community.
- The partner community.
To be ready by July 27, we are requesting that business partners prepare for the change by updating the sales material that you are authoring (your company marketing collateral, presentations, website, and so on).
It’s important to note that the name change applies only to assets that will be used from July 27 onward, which does not include any material related to older releases of the product. Updated logos and corresponding marketing materials will be available on Sage Sell in the coming weeks.
You are notified of this upcoming change under your nondisclosure agreement (NDA) with Sage so that you may plan for the name change internally.
Note: At no time should the new name be communicated to customers or to the public before the official announcement from Sage on July 27.
