Sage ERP Accpac 6.0A Product Update 2 Readme

Product Update 2 contains a modified version of one or more Sage ERP Accpac program components. It is not a full upgrade or a product replacement. It is valid only until we release the next product update or the next version of Sage ERP Accpac.

Updating Programs

Important: This product update contains database changes for Bank Services, Accounts Receivable, Order Entry, and Project and Job Costing. After installing the update, you will need to reactivate your data for these programs for version 6.0A.

Important: This update includes changes to the version 6.0 portal. If you have installed the portal, the installation program will need to stop and restart Internet Information Services (IIS) and the Sage Accpac Tomcat service.

Note: After installing this update, you should clear your browser’s cache. (Some fixes included in the update will not take effect until you do.)

Upgrading to Later Versions

Important: After installing this product update, if you subsequently upgrade to a later version of Sage ERP Accpac (now Sage 300 ERP), you must install all released product updates for that version before activating your data to avoid possible data corruption issues.

Migrating from Pervasive PSQL to Microsoft SQL

Warning! If you are migrating your database from Pervasive to Microsoft SQL, and your database contains Inventory Control items that use units of measure with the same name but with mixed cases (for example, both “EACH” and “Each,” or another combination), we recommend that you choose a binary collation method for your SQL database. If you try to load data with mixed cases and you use a non-binary collation method, Database Load will fail.

Alternatively, you can repair your data, standardizing on one unit of measure, before using Database Load.

Changes to Canadian and US Payroll Updates

This product update does not include updates for Canadian and US Payroll. Updates for these programs are available separately. To update your system with the latest files, you must install the following updates:

Important! To implement the program fixes described in this section, you must install the new version of Sage ERP Accpac Integration for SageCRM (the SageCRM-side integration component) included with this product update.

To install Sage ERP Accpac Integration for SageCRM:

  1. Download the new CRM 7.1 Integration zip file included with Sage ERP Accpac Product Update 2.
  2. Extract all compressed files from the zip file.
  3. Open Sage 300 CRM 71 Integration 2012 PU1.exe.
  4. Select the Install Sage 300 ERP Integration option.
  5. Select version 6.0.

This Product Update includes support for Payment Processing 6.0 — a Sage ERP Accpac program that lets you process credit card payments from your customers.
