Sage Installation Manager Update

Audience

This issue may affect you if you installed Microsoft Security Update KB2653956 and you use Sage Installation Manager to install software updates.

To check whether you have Security Update KB2653956 installed on each server and workstation, open:

  • XP/Windows 2003: Start > All Programs > Microsoft Update > Review your update history
  • Vista/Windows 7/Windows 2008: Start > All Programs > Windows Update > View Update History

Note: If this issue applies to your company, but you are not the person who downloads and updates Sage Timberline Office updates, please forward this notice to the correct person in your company.

Issue

Microsoft Security Update KB2653956 prevents Sage Installation Manager from installing Sage updates on your workstations.

Solution

Download and install the Sage Installation Manager update for your version on servers (9.7.0 only) and workstations (9.7.0 and 9.8.0) where you use Sage Installation Manager.

Telephone Support: When you have a more urgent question or would prefer to speak to a customer support analyst directly, call us at 800-551-8307. Telephone support is available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time with the following exceptions:

  • Every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Time (closed for customer support staff meetings)
  • Standard United States holidays
  • Quarterly company meeting
