Information and insights for your success

Looking forward to the possibilities at Sage

Now into the final quarter of the fiscal year, I really believe that given the magnitude of the kind of change that we aspire to, we need to focus on five fundamental values that are essential to us accomplishing the goals that we have to have together: effectiveness, constructiveness, respect, self-improvement, and contribution.

First and foremost, we aspire to world-class effectiveness and setting out to do things as well as we possibly can—which expands to so many elements of our business, both inside and outside the walls of Sage in partnership with you.

We could focus on the past, but instead, let’s look forward to the possibilities. And, if you're willing to be constructive and look to those possibilities together with me, I think we have some exciting opportunities ahead of us!

Respect is about operating together with the spirit of professionalism. There’s a trust and a confidence that has to come along with all of that respect, but it's a really important element of driving the kind of change that, together, I believe that we can drive.

We all have things we need to get better at . . . I know that I have things that I need to learn and commit to as a businessperson to make myself better every single day. It's not because someone pushed me to do it, or because somebody above me asked me to do something, or gave me a directive to do it—it’s because I embrace this concept. It’s the obligation of self-improvement.

There is no magic wand or pixie dust, and there's no quick and easy fix to driving change. It’s all about contribution—it’s about all the little things that add up and make us much more successful.

By implementing these values to delight customers and exceed their expectations, I know that the results will be overwhelmingly positive for all of us.

I look forward to seeing you at Partner Success Day at Sage Summit on July 27 in New Orleans. Sage Summit is a great opportunity to accelerate business and the learning process and to build relationships with your staff, your customers, your prospects, and your peers.

If you’ve not already done so, please go to the Sage Summit website, look at the agendas, look at the speakers who are going to be there, look at all the great content, and plan to stay for the full event—I think you’ll find it’s a very worthwhile investment to be there. In fact, I encourage you to bring more of your colleagues from your organization to come to this once-a-year event!

I am absolutely committed to our success together. I want your feedback, I want to know what you have to say, I want to know what's on your mind—and I commit to listen and work with you. And again, I'm really excited about the possibilities together for all of us to be even more successful. See you at Sage Summit!
