Sage 100 ERP, Sage 300 ERP, and Sage ERP X3 become Sage 100, Sage 300, and Sage X3 on July 27

Beginning Monday, July 27, all ERP references will be removed from Sage 100 ERP, Sage 300 ERP, and Sage ERP X3.

Sage will continue the move away from the mainstream ERP category to convey our shift to more usercentric business management solutions by officially changing the product names to Sage 100, Sage 300, and Sage X3.

Why are we changing the product names?

  • Over one in three companies that are using ERP software are dissatisfied with the cost of implementing and maintaining an ERP system, its flexibility to adapt to new requirements, and its usability.
  • One in four call out the lack of scalability and support for mobile technology as a concern.
  • One in six have a poor relationship with their provider.

The negative perception of “ERP” is hindering sales of newer Sage business management solutions, and limiting the value Sage can bring to customers beyond ERP (CRM, payments, intelligence).

What should you do between now and July 27?

Due to the amount of product documentation available, we fully expect both old and new names to coexist in the market over a period of time. To help accelerate the adoption of the new names, your involvement in communicating the change is critical during the transition.

The name change applies to:

  • All material used to represent the solutions in the market.
  • The customer community.
  • The partner community.

To be ready by July 27, we are requesting that business partners prepare for the change by updating the sales material that you are authoring (your company marketing collateral, presentations, website, and so on).

It’s important to note that the name change applies only to assets that will be used from July 27 onward, which does not include any material related to older releases of the product. Updated logos and corresponding marketing materials will be available on Sage Sell in the coming weeks.

You are notified of this upcoming change under your nondisclosure agreement (NDA) with Sage so that you may plan for the name change internally.

Note: At no time should the new name be communicated to customers or to the public before the official announcement from Sage on July 27.

Expanded products: Introducing exciting annual subscription offerings for new Sage customers

In June, we introduced annual subscription offerings for new Sage 100 ERP and Sage 300 ERP customers, and we are continuing to see increased adoption of subscription pricing.

And now, effective August 1, 2015, we are excited to continue to expand this new annual subscription offering even further across the Sage product portfolio to include customers for Sage CRM and Sage ERP X3.* Also, please note that we intend to roll this approach out to additional products in the portfolio over the next few months.

This will be a win-win-win for customers, business partners, and Sage. Customers will have the ability to prepay subscription for either one year or three years with a preferential pricing incentive. We will no longer offer month-to-month subscriptions to these customers.

New and off-plan (N-3) customers will have the option to select from the following subscription offerings.

Sage Fixed Assets currency rate adjustment

Sage Fixed Assets plans to apply a currency exchange rate adjustment that on August 1, 2015. The increase in the exchange rate of the Canadian dollar against the U.S. dollar has necessitated this adjustment.

Starting August 1, 2015, we will use an exchange rate of 1 U.S. dollar = 1.27 Canadian dollar. The exchange rate will be fixed for a period of one year and readjusted, up or down, based on the exchange rate a year from now.
